New Zealand Food Wineries & Restaurants
New Zealand Food goes hand in hand with New Zealand Wine. From the astonishingly tasty cabernets of Waiheke island and the crisp fruity loveliness of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc's it is to be expected that there would be a delicious collision with New Zealand tucker.Wineries not only now open for the public to wander among the vines but a number have exceptional restaurants attached serving great New Zealand cuisine by some of New Zealand’s most talented chefs. Popular with tourists and locals it’s worth having a look at the budget.

My New Zealand custom (which I'm sure will catch on) is to pop round the off-licence and pick up a sauv’ then into the dairy for some cheese and bread before dragging Charley off to the dunes to sit in peaceful silence watching nothing more exciting than birds diving for mayflies. OK, we have been known to wander through Hawke's Bay and take some lessons on understanding how wine and food works from some pretty sharp wine connoisseurs. Later, mentally spent, we enjoy the view from our winery restaurant and toast the world.
Tohu is a Maori Wine and the first indigenous wine to be produced for the export market. The grapes are harvested from the Gisborne and Marlborough regions. Whet your passion for New Zealand Food here.
