New Zealand Food Tucker & Grog To You And Me.
New Zealand Food is your tucker and New Zealand wine and beer is your grog. Mind you I can’t see the vintners and wine lovers liking that; nor can I see the many young chefs in New Zealand accepting tucker as the definitive description of their fine cuisine.Tucker and Grog is not to be confused with Tuck and Patty who are a Jazz singing and guitar based duo. Quite brilliant but food and wine for the mind only! But food is food and it’s only in recent decades that good old tucker has morphed into an art form celebrated at festivals, kitchens, restaurants and barbeques all over New Zealand. Where do we start?
Well, to keep it simple, since Charley and I are not chefs and this is after all a New Zealand holiday guide; we will have a few subheadings and introduce you to the facts about New Zealand's wonderful food under each of them. Check out the links below for more info on New Zealand tucker!

Our foodie experience in New Zealand has always been... stimulating. From wandering around the Food Hall up at the Junction with Queen Street and K Road in Auckland sampling great Pad Thai to Fusion Cafe in Jervois Road (off Ponsonby Rd) where you can chill out in the garden with fabulous food.

Or check out the rest of Ponsonby Road where the street is lined with multi-country-cuisine restaurants and cafes. Homegrown burger joints (organic and natural) pizza's al fresco... the list goes on. Even in winter the mild temperatures means you can make full use of the outside seating and watch the world go by... sigh.. From Pavlova to Pie and Lamb to Langoustine the pristine waters and green pastures of New Zealand are here to tempt you with the fabulous cuisine of this wonderful land.
