2 Standard New Zealand Accommodation HotelsThese are in the main your chain hotel (Novotel, Copthorne, Best Western NZ etc) cropping up in most of the larger towns and the main cities. Still maintaining a recognised quality of accommodation your standard hotel is often orientated to the business traveller and the package holidaymaker. New Zealanders generally don’t do the hotel thing. They are mainly into self-catering and make full use of the widespread availability of campsites and motels. 3 Boutique accommodation New Zealand
This is something new. Fast catching on in the major cities of the world, boutique hotels are small (can we say bijou…?) modern and at times sumptuous in their presentation. Charley says that they always remind her of film sets with lots of clean lines and always very fashionable.
They are not cheap generally but they provide an oasis of intimacy often lacking in the larger hotels. Not just found in the cities a surprising number are cropping up deep in country to give you that romantic feel to your New Zealand holiday.
4 Motel accommodation New Zealand
Now we move away from the luxury of a hotel room to probably one of the most common forms of accommodation in New Zealand. You can chuck Motor Lodges into the mix with Motels. You’ll find at least one in any New Zealand town. With the wonderful road journeys you can take in New Zealand motels are designed to help you on your way refreshed! Spacious and roomy most motels are self-catering with kitchen units, living room and more than one bedroom. They are ideal for families on their tours of New Zealand hotspots!
Smaller New Zealand motel accommodation is often referred to as studio rooms or accommodation and is generally designed for one or two people.
