New Zealand Weather At A Glance
New Zealand Weather is a tough one to succinctly describe... Honest, no excuses. One day you're in shorts wandering about Auckland Harbour with an ice cream; the next day you're fleeced up with a kagool and hiking boots half way up Mount Cook!
So the first thing I'm going to do for NZ Weather is to give you all a few widgets for cities and towns along both the North and South Island. If I'm going to tell you the time I was toasted in Tauranga or washed out in Wellington then you are going to need a picture of what I'm talking about, more accurately a forecast of these places. Not only a forecast is required but for seasonal averages you will need a
New Zealand climate.
So in conjunction with the map page check out these weather widgets from Accuweather. They've been reporting world weather since 1962 so if anyone is going to come up with the goods they will!
I've picked four areas for you to look at Starting near the top of New Zealand with Auckland. Then moving down country to Napier, then Wellington. Over the Cook Strait to Christchurch and Queenstown.
Just scroll down for the widgets and when you're done nip back to the homepage, there's a link at the bottom of the page. Or if you're here then just check out the Nav Bar links on the left.
This should give you a fair idea of what's happening now in New Zealand. Bear in mind that the west coast tends to get more rain than the east. Between Auckland and Napier tends to be the most clement weather on average but I'll get to all this in more detail later! ... And no doubt there will be disagreements so I'll just have to give as much information as possible on New Zealand Weather and when the best time to visit is!
