Enjoy Al Fresco dining at the Sawmill in Leigh with a view like no other. Wander Cuba Street Wellington and try any one of the great bars and restaurants. Don’t just hang out in the city because if I say that you have 235 camp sites run by the department of conservation all laid out for you across the country then your new Zealand adventure spirit is bound to be stirred! The way Charley and I see it is that the tourist has done so much they can’t remember it all and travellers revel in the fact that they have no idea what’s around the corner! Theroux may have viewed us with a somewhat cynical literary eye but instead it’s a compliment to the New Zealand Adventure spirit and New Zealand’s tourist attractions.
